Master Ji lives in this village.  Lakshmi Narayan is a teacher herself, so she has to go to school on time and has to do all the necessary work besides studies and writing.  Sometimes he is also known as a bank where he has a savings account.  The school is in the village itself but the bank is 8 km away from the village.  On the day they have to go to the bank, Master ji has to take leave.  The reason is the long line of the bank and the time it takes to reach the bank from home.  So whenever Master ji needed to go to the bank, he would think many times before leaving.  Then he took a school vacation and went to the bank.  Used to get a job done and would return in the evening.

That is, a bank's work would have required a full day.

 Today, Master's position is for all those people whose bank branch is away from home and they have to work in line by putting their work.  Now this situation is slowly changing because you do not need to go to the bank, but the bank will come to your door.  State Bank and Punjab National Bank have started a similar scheme called Doorstep Banking i.e. your bank is now at your doorstep.

 Under this scheme you will get many facilities sitting at home, for which you have to stand in line for hours in the branch.  SBI and PNB are now providing many facilities to their customers at home.  For this you have to register and the bank has also issued toll free numbers for this.

State Bank Scheme

This scheme of State Bank includes pick-up services, delivery services and many other services.  Although it has been implemented in only a few branches, but it is being gradually increased.  The services offered in Doorstep Banking (DSB) include Cash Pickup, Cash Delivery, Check Pickup, Check Recognition Sleep Pickup, Form 15H Pickup, Drafts Delivery, Delivery of Term Deposit Advice, Lyal Certificate Pickup and KYC Document Pickup.

 To avail this service, you have to register at your home branch.  After the completion of all the necessary actions in the home branch, you will be able to easily take advantage of the facilities of SBI from home.  Doorstep banking has a limit to withdraw cash or deposit cash and a maximum of Rs 20 thousand per transaction is fixed.  For non financial transactions, Rs 60 per visit is charged along with GST.  While for financial transactions this charge is 100 rupees plus GST.  Any customer sitting at home will be able to take advantage of the cash withdrawal along with the passbook, check and withdrawal form.  No one will be allowed without this.

 What is the facility in PNB

 Like State Bank, PNB is providing doorstep facility to its customers.  If a customer wants to deposit cash in the bank, the bank representative will come to his house.  For this, it is necessary that the customer's KYC is completed.  To avail this facility, the customer has to fill an enrollment form and sign the agreement.  Cash pickup is done at home in the bank's normal business hours.  Check facility is also available like cash pick.

 There are different ways of pickup.  For example, in an on call pickup, bank employees come to the customer's home or office.  Request can be sent by telephone or fax for employee's arrival.  Similarly, there is a way of beat pickup in which a bank worker comes to the customer's house or office every day to collect cash.  There is a fixed amount for cash pick up.  For this, if there is a fixed balance in the customer's account (saving or current), then the pickup fee is waived.

 What are its benefits

 There is no need to come to the branch to deposit cash.  Your money will be safe and insured because only the bank employee is used to bring it or carry it.  Cache pickup occurs over time.  If you have to do it yourself, how much time it will take will depend on the line present in the bank.  Although there is also a deposit machine nowadays, but its number is not enough yet.  The service charge for cash pickup is very low, so it can be exploited.
